Why Outreach?
Outreaching is a huge part of the FIRST experience. Not only does it allow us to hone speaking and interview skills, but it spreads the word about STEM to others that are underprivileged. We outreach to help others learn about STEM and get interested in the area of robotics.
We plan to outreach by hosting stands, presentations, or classes in many different and unique settings such as fairs, libraries, stem events, schools, and more. We plan to outreach at least once a month. Typically our team plans to create a flyer for each event to spread the word. In the area of outreach, we want each of our viewers to learn about FIRST and leave with the knowledge that will enable and inspire them to join FIRST and dive into robotics.
